Organization Type

This partnership with the Ontario Pharmacists Association (OPA) will provide work-integrated learning opportunities in collaboration with Lambton College. These simulated workplace experiences will align with accreditation requirements from the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP); a standardization that will provide more remote locations the same opportunity for experiential training as those in more centralized locations. Students will gain the hard and soft skill competencies that will prepare them for their career in the pharmacy workplace.

The results of this partnership will be used by OPA to make recommendations for an alternative to field placements for Pharmacy Technician programs to ensure Ontario's colleges can produce graduates that can become licensed and support the pharmacy industry.
