BHER is looking for partners to help us develop and implement WIL-based solutions to building Canada’s green talent pipeline. We are interested in proposals from all regions of the country, in either official language, and focused on any student or employer sub-group.

BHER has set a goal to create accessible and inclusive pathways to green jobs through work-integrated learning. We believe in a strategic and graceful transition to a net zero economy. A major component of this transformation will be equipping young people with the green skills they need to succeed in their careers and support the transition to net zero.

We are particularly interested in proposals focused on creating WIL opportunities for international and other equity-deserving students. In this context, BHER encourages applicants to consider submitting proposals in one of the following priority areas:

Integrate a student into a workplace culture, including in remote work environments.
Assign appropriate placement work.
Coach a student on specific challenges and offer constructive feedback.
Check in with a student to ensure a meaningful placement experience.
Facilitate effective mentoring conversations, including helping a student reflect on their career aspirations.
Provide end-of-placement feedback to a student, and receive feedback on your mentoring abilities.
