Organization works with students from community services programs to provide an enriching partnership-based WIL experience.
Our organization has had very positive experiences offering WIL placements and internships from our local college and university. The students come to us from community services programs, either at the diploma or degree level. As an adult education network, we feel it is important to support students with these learning opportunities. Typically, I request placement students who are looking for their final placement as part of their program requirements. I have found that these students are more prepared in terms of the theory and on-the-job experience and are a big asset to our organization while they are with us. We work with the student, identify their goals, and provide an enriching and partnership-based experience.
