The Role:
BHER is hiring a Senior Associate, Project Management to coordinate project delivery across the organization. This role will play a central function in ensuring that BHER's cross-functional teams are aligned, on schedule, and brought in at the right time for every initiative.
Reporting to the VP of Corporate Services, the Senior Associate will support projects across departments, including R&D, Programs, Communications, and Corporate Services. You’ll help to ensure that timelines, deliverables, and collaboration stay on track.
This is a perfect role for someone with strong organizational skills, cross-functional coordination experience, and a proactive, systems-thinking mindset.
Responsibilities:
Project Coordination
- Work with project teams to define project scope, goals and deliverables
- Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and reporting processes across BHER teams.
- Ensure key collaborators are engaged at the right stages of each project lifecycle.
- Support scoping and planning processes, including timelines, milestones, and risk tracking.
- Create, maintain and improve internal project tracking systems, templates, and tools.
- Monitor progress on projects and surface risks or barriers proactively.
Internal Collaboration + Communications
- Work closely with project leads across teams to support workback schedules and execution.
- Facilitate internal planning meetings, track action items, and ensure accountability.
- Support information-sharing and alignment across departments.
- Help build shared practices and templates that improve project delivery across BHER.
Documentation + Reporting
- Draft and maintain internal documentation including project charters, timelines, and coordination briefs.
- Support reporting to funders or leadership by tracking activities, deliverables, and timelines.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves
- 4+ years experience in project coordination, project management, or related roles.
- PMP or CAPM designation (or working toward certification).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience working across multiple departments or project teams.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort facilitating meetings.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Airtable, or similar).
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in non-profit, post-secondary, or research settings.
- Familiarity with government-funded project delivery or reporting.
- Bilingualism (English/French).
