The Business + Higher Education Roundtable (BHER) is pleased to welcome Martin Basiri, Mary Butler, and Lisa Philipps to our Board of Directors.
Each brings deep leadership experience across business and post-secondary education, strengthening BHER’s ability to advance national dialogue and action on skills, talent, productivity, and innovation.
We also extend our sincere thanks to Don Bureaux, President of Nova Scotia Community College, for his service as Vice-Chair from 2019 to 2026. Don brought steady leadership and a strong regional voice to the Board, helping deepen collaboration between industry and post-secondary institutions across Canada. We are grateful for his contributions and wish him continued success in his new role at the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.
The need for cross-sector conversations and collaboration has never been greater. As Canada navigates economic transformation and growing global competition, BHER remains focused on connecting leaders across sectors to drive practical solutions and long-term impact.
