The Business + Higher Education Roundtable (BHER) is convening a free, virtual, lunchtime event about hiring students through work-integrated learning (WIL) in British Columbia. At BHER, we know that WIL improves productivity for organizations and social and employment outcomes for students. That’s why we’re bringing together leaders from across British Columbia to talk about how investing in young people and in WIL can help employers find the skilled talent they need while also strengthening communities.
We’ll hear about BHER member TELUS’ Friendly Future Foundation & Social Purpose Programs, and also take a deep dive into BHER-funded partner Wayble’s Career Pathway Program, which connects international students with leading employers to gain the mentorship and project experience required to kick-start a career in Canada. Learn what makes these programs successful and get inspiration for your own WIL next steps.
