In collaboration with BHER, the University of Ottawa will hold its first Knowledge Mobilization Symposium on the "Professional Integration of International Graduates".
This two-day bilingual event aims to bring together specialists, practitioners, individuals with lived experience, and other partners to explore key opportunities and challenges facing international students in the labour market. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and BHER-funded initiatives, the event will explore the full international student journey from arrival to employment, centering student voices and fostering collaboration among institutions, employers, policymakers, and the international student community.
On the second day, attendees will hear from BHER's Director of Research & Programs Andrew Bieler in a session called "Ideas that Work – Improving International Students’ Employment Prospects Together." This session highlights the challenges and lessons learned from BHER-funded projects aimed at improving the career prospects of international students. Discover how this knowledge can be translated into practical guidelines and concrete actions.
