Now We Build: From National Priorities to Practical Progress

Canada has set ambitious goals in artificial intelligence, energy, national security, and health. Meeting them will take more than policy and investment. It will require skilled people, innovation capacity, strong partnerships, and cross-sector coordination.
BHER’s 2027 Executive Summit will bring together senior leaders from business, post-secondary education, and government to explore how and where their collective capacity can best support Canada’s priorities.
Since 2025, BHER and its members and partners have followed a deliberate path: diagnosing barriers, shaping priorities, and building alignment through our Leadership Tables. In March, the focus shifts to moving promising ideas towards implementation.
The agenda will centre on practical projects and what it will take to carry them forward.
