On June 22nd, BHER joined members Humber Polytechnic, Enbridge, and Bruce Power at the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce’s Future of Energy event to see the launch of the Chamber’s Future of Energy 2026 report.
Ontario’s skilled workforce, established energy infrastructure, and industrial supply chains position the province to attract investments and support large-scale energy development. But for Canada to become an energy leader, industry, post-secondaries and governments must work together to deliver on our potential.
A central takeaway from the report is that Ontario’s challenge is increasingly one of delivery, and whether infrastructure, workforce capacity, and supply chains can keep pace with the scale and speed of projected growth. The report aligned with BHER’s latest thought leadership piece, Building Ahead of Demand: Why Canada’s energy advantage depends on building capacity before it’s needed. Energy leadership will be determined by more than resources or investment. It will be determined by the ability to build.
