The partnership between BHER and CityStudio Vancouver facilitated the launch of six new CityStudio locations across Canada in Chilliwack, Sault Ste. Marie, Durham, Greater Victoria, Ottawa, and Thunder Bay. CityStudio Vancouver is an innovation hub that brings together city staff, students, faculty, and community to co-create experimental projects that make Vancouver more sustainable, equitable, joyful, and inclusive.
The CityStudio model enables local post-secondary institutions and municipal governments to provide quality WILexperiences to students, strengthening stakeholder collaboration. Over the course of a semester, students collaborated with peers and municipal staff on civic issues to earn academic credits at their participating post-secondary institution.
