Andrew Bieler Director of Partnerships & Experiential Learning

As Director of Partnerships & Experiential Learning at the Business + Higher Education Roundtable (BHER), Andrew manages all aspects of project development and delivery related to the work-integrated learning (WIL) ecosystem. His areas of focus include WIL partnerships and research, skills articulation, international talent, and the transition to net zero.

Prior to joining BHER, Andrew led national consultations on work-integrated learning and managed a research portfolio on experiential learning at the Conference Board of Canada. He has previously held senior research roles at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) and The Sustainability and Education Policy Network. You can find his writing on education and skills in the Journal of Education for Sustainable Development, Canadian Journal of Higher Education, Environmental Education Research, Sustainability, and Teachers College Record. Andrew holds a PhD from the Joint Program in Communication and Culture at York University and Toronto Metropolitan University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Saskatchewan.
