Concordia University's Quebec Scientific Entrepreneurship Program

The Quebec Scientific Entrepreneurship Program launched in January 2019 as an online bilingual entrepreneurial training program supported by Fonds de recherche du Quebec and executed by District 3 Innovation Centre at Concordia University.

The program is free and open to all graduates from Quebec academic institutions. Through this program, scientists learn entrepreneurship and business acumen to help them commercialize university-developed technologies. The program also identifies resources such as funding and network resources necessary for scientists to create deep tech startups. The main outcomes of this project are to create jobs for university graduates, especially PhDs and postdocs, and to increase the ROI of government research funding.
