The Moncton Chamber of Commerce collaborated with Mount Allison University to form the Business Opening Opportunities Student Team (BOOST) to help local businesses address challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of this initiative, a "SWAT Team" of students helped local businesses address a challenge or issue that arose during the pandemic. The program is a collaborative, 'made in New Brunswick' solution that meets the needs of both local employers and students, who would have struggled to find meaningful summer work opportunities otherwise. The BOOST program has been funded by Future Ready NB and the federal Student Work Placement Program.
