The partnership between BHER and Volunteer Canada mobilized the launch of an entrepreneurship program for Indigenous students in Saskatchewan and Ontario. Volunteer Canada aims to strengthen and diversify volunteer experiences across the country. They collaborated with GreenHouse, a social impact incubator based out of St. Paul’s University College at the University of Waterloo. GreenHouse empowers students to develop their changemaking skills and opportunities. Together, BHER, Volunteer Canada, and GreenHouse increased access to WIL experiences and developed a best practices handbook for hosting Indigenous WIL opportunities to share with national WIL partners.
