The Role
BHER is hiring a senior-level event professional to deliver on its convening activities from concept through to completion. In this role, the Senior Lead, Event Delivery will design, lead and deliver various types of events that bring together BHER members, partners, and stakeholders to advance the organization’s mission and impact.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in event design, external engagement, and operational execution. This role reports to the VP, Corporate Services and works closely with management and project team leads to deliver on convening initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and deliver on the full life-cycle of BHER’s events, from event development and concept design to post-event evaluation.
- Design event formats, agendas, and experiences that foster meaningful dialogue and actionable outcomes.
- Work with management and internal teams to draft agendas that integrate research, thought leadership, and program content into events.
- Source and develop strong relationships with vendors, partners, speakers, and sponsors.
- Develop and manage event budgets, oversee contracts and vendor negotiations, and ensure delivery within financial targets.
- Create all event-supporting materials such as event plans, briefing notes, run-of-show documents, speaker guides, and on-site event materials.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal teams, executives, partners, and sponsors throughout the planning and delivery process.
- Other specific tasks as required to support BHER’s growth and development.

- A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline such as event management, communications, public relations, marketing, or project management.
- 8+ years of experience in event design, stakeholder engagement, corporate convening, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic convenings or initiatives.
- Ability to work in-person in event environments. Some travel is required.
- Experience delivering government-supported projects or programs .
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional verbal and writing skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Ability to think critically and strategically to problem-solve.
- Demonstrated success in dealing with complex issues in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Bilingualism is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented, highly productive environment.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple project timelines and deliverables.
