Senior Partnerships Coordinator and Stakeholder Relations

The Role

The Senior Partnerships Coordinator and Stakeholder Relations is a key role in BHER’s funded partnerships line of business, responsible for coordinating and supporting collaborations that drive impact across Canada’s business and higher education sectors.

This role plays a central part in fostering relationships, ensuring partner success, and advancing projects that align with BHER’s mission to strengthen skills, talent, and innovation. Program areas the candidate may develop and support include work-integrated learning (WIL), upskilling and reskilling, newcomer integration, research and innovation, and accessible workplaces.

The Senior Partnerships Coordinator and Stakeholder Relations reports to the Program Manager, WIL, and works across BHER’s partnership portfolios to strengthen collaboration between employers and post-secondary institutions nationwide.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a national network of partners across post-secondary, employer, and private-sector organizations.
  • Lead and support partners in designing and delivering projects that connect business and higher education for meaningful workforce outcomes.
  • Oversee funded projects from start to finish, ensuring goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Provide proactive, solutions-focused support to partners to keep projects on track and deliver high-quality results.
  • Analyze and interpret project data to measure impact, identify trends, and support funder and government reporting.
  • Develop outreach materials and engagement strategies that advance BHER’s mission and business development efforts.
  • Collaborate across teams to enhance internal processes, tools, and best practices in partner engagement.
  • Capture and share insights to drive continuous improvement and strengthen future programs and partnerships.

  • A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline such as project management, public administration, education, business, policy, communications, or others
  • 8+ years of experience in program coordination and delivery, stakeholder engagement, or partnership management
  • Experience with government-funded projects, grants, or contribution agreements.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
  • Strong relationship management, communication, and cross-sector collaboration skills.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and data interpretation abilities.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong multitasking skills.
  • Proven initiative in keeping projects on track and delivering results.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-focused with sound judgment.
  • Genuine interest in advancing Canada’s skills, talent, and innovation ecosystem.
