As digital transformation accelerates across the construction sector, there is a growing need for collaboration between industry, post-secondary, and technology innovators to ensure Canada remains globally competitive.
BHER member George Brown Polytechnic hosted this event, and alongside fellow BHER members PCL Constructors, University of Toronto, and RBC, BHER’s Director of Strategic Partnerships & Development, Andrew Bieler joined leaders from industry and higher education to explore how emerging technologies can address Canada’s productivity, competitiveness, and workforce challenges in the construction sector.
Andrew shared BHER’s experience in building capacity in Canada’s skills and talent ecosystem through applied research and work-integrated learning. BHER’s national work-integrated learning (WIL) program helps employers access job-ready talent and develop the skilled workforce needed to drive Canada’s productivity and economic growth.
