Mettre en relation les dirigeants. Renforcer les capacités. Favoriser le changement.

MaRS Discovery District

MaRS supports promising high-growth companies to scale their businesses globally, while tackling key societal challenges in areas such as Health, Cleantech, Finance, Transportation, AI, and others. In addition to helping start-ups launch, grow and scale, the MaRS community is dedicated to cross-disciplinary collaboration, commercialization of discoveries, and driving ideas to impact.

The renewed partnership between BHER and MaRS’s Tech Stewardship Practice Program (TSPP) introduces socio-ethical reflective practice to overlay educational and work experiences. TSPP fills a key gap by providing students with a robust understanding of the complex societal outcomes of technology, and equips students with tools to ensure that these outcomes create benefit to society.

This iteration of the project includes a focus on equipping students with the skills and knowledge to address challenges related to energy transitions as part of Canada’s pathway to a net zero economy. MaRS will also deliver an Energy Transition Competition event, in which students will engage in a range of real-life scenarios related to the energy transition, and will work in small teams to develop recommendations that will be pitched to a panel of professionals, who will provide feedback and appoint winners.
