BHER’s partnership with the Merritt Chamber of Commerce (MDCoC), in collaboration with Nicola Valley Institute of Technology, reduced barriers for Indigenous students and drove the local economy forward by bringing small and medium enterprises (SMEs), not-for-profits, and government organizations together to cultivate local talent.
As a not-for-profit organization with a broad reach, MDCoC utilized its current and growing membership base to help create a communication portal between the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology and local businesses, including Indigenous communities and organizations.
