The Business + Higher Education Roundtable (BHER) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization bringing together some of Canada’s largest companies and leading post-secondary institutions. Since 2015, BHER has worked to harness the strengths of Canada’s business and post-secondary education sectors to build opportunities for young Canadians, boost innovation and drive collaboration.
BHER has been growing steadily and is now seeking to hire an individual who will be responsible for generating business development prospects for its latest program, the Canada Comeback Challenge (C3). The program, as announced by the Prime Minister on June 25, will create up to 10,000 new work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities by challenging student teams to develop solutions to real-world problems. For employers, this competition provides access to creative solutions to their most pressing challenges while also introducing them to the amazing talent at Canadian post-secondary institutions.
Reporting to the Senior Lead for Partnerships & Business Development, the ideal candidate will be responsible for outreach of C3 to relevant stakeholders across Canada, sourcing new leads and ensuring effective measures to convert leads. The candidate must work collaboratively with other members of BHER to ensure successful program execution.
This is a eight (8)-month contract, with an option to renew, that requires a passionate and driven employee who would like to work in an energetic, fast paced and multi-tasking environment.
